Constructing Deconstruction

constructing deconstruction sept 2013 wm

Inspired by the destruction of grain silos in Council Bluffs, Iowa.

Wooden Frame
Wooden hinged arms
Cardboard Tubes
Concrete
Asphalt
Rebar

Chunks of concrete suspended in hollow shells of what were once, in a sense, protectors of life, reduced to meaningless rubble which will soon own no evidence of it’s former existence. The largeness that defends their right to exist, is the catalyst of their demise.

When Thoughts become so big, heavy and concrete, they cannot be scaled back to their original concept, they die.
